Macon Spade drew me in at the prologue. From there, he’s just. . . undeniably hot.
This story has a really interesting premise. Without giving away too much detail or revealing spoilers, it’s about a ridiculously handsome billionaire playboy who meets a struggling college student who’s rooming with her two sisters on the island of Kauai. He sees her dancing at a club and is fascinated because she won’t even divulge her name. He keeps returning to the club to see her. To have her. To eventually get to know her. But the real intriguing part is that Macon doesn’t know Brooklyn’s ACTUAL job while she’s finishing college. And she doesn’t know certain details of a job offer she’s about to receive when she graduates. She’s keeping secrets. He’s keeping secrets. And they are falling hard for each other so when all is revealed, there will be fireworks.
Brooklyn and Macon together are on fire. You’ll need an ice cold glass of water. . . over your head!
The Dalton’s are back! And they are a significant part of this story so yay for that. I especially loved Jo’s interaction with Brooklyn. It really fit perfectly (

So, I know the MMC is supposed to be this super suave man whorehouse playboy, but most of his lines and his attitude was so cringe. The FMC wasn't my fave, but this is one rare instance where I liked the FMC more than the MMC.
