Hoy durante la madrugada termine este libro. Desde que supe de su publicación me ilusione com leerlo, sobretodo para saber que ocurría con los hechos post héroe.
La verdad es que no era lo que me esperaba, no es un mal libro, pero en comparación con Carry On fue a la baja. Es una secuela que nadie pidió.
Sin embargo, hay algunas cosas que me gustaron como el hecho de ver a nuestro trío en un nuevo escenario como es EEUU y con ello las diferencias entre ambos países. Por el otro lado, aquellos capítulos en donde Baz se encontró con una nueva realidad de vampiros (sin omitir que el comportamiento de Simón me causó mucha risa).
De los personajes nuevos el de Shepard fue el que más me gustó, esa personalidad tan amigable con las criaturas mágicas me sacó más de una risa, y la revelación del final me dejó en shock, eso no me lo esperaba.
Con respecto a lo que no me gustó, fue en primer lugar la falta de comunicación entre Baz y Simón, esperaba esta vez ver un avance de su relación y no un retraso. Por el otro lado, ubieron ciertas partes que me dejaron un poco desconcertada, como lo fue la escena del desierto en donde conocen por primera vez a Shepard.
Si realmente te gustó Carry On, te puede gustar en parte este nuevo libro. Es divertido y es muy rápido de leer.

It was great but I still gave it 4 stars because in my opinion carry on was way better.
I just realized that I gave carry on 4 stars and not 5. Doesn’t matter anyway I couldn’t give wayward son 3 stars and I don’t want to change the rating on carry on.

Simon is not doing well after the events of Carry On. Penny decides a road trip in America is what he needs. Penny can also visit her boyfriend and they can check on Agatha while there. Things do not go as planned. Baz encounters American vampires and learns a lot about being a vampire that he didn’t know. Not the happiest ending but I can’t wait for the next book.
Was a continuation of Carry On really needed? i don't know, but deffinitly not like this.
If this wasn't second to a really great book i wouldn't have been so disappointed.(i think)
There where some cute scenes and interesting parts, but a lot of the Story and Relationship problems dragged their feet.

I’d say 4.5 stars. A different kind of adventure and I was hoping for more banter but it was still good. I like the introduction of Shepard and hope he is in e book 3!
I never thought we would get another Simon and Baz book, but I never dreamed it would be as amazing and tender hearted as it was.
Some books are written to make you smile and feel. This is one of those books and I can’t believe we’re going to get another one.
