Do or don't bargain with fae
This bargain started simple and got complex and now I fell in love with players and world drawn and I must read the second to see what come next.

This was such a fun time. I listened to a lot of it on audiobook and really enjoyed the narrator. This was one of those books you pick up and just absolutely fly through - I think it took a day for me and I stayed up late because I wanted to finish.
Pros: the story is super approachable. It’s based in modern day NoLa, and has all the existing technology so you don’t feel like you have to spend a lot of time figuring out the world or the system. The fantasy elements and structure are introduced gradually and organically with the story. And the tension? Top tier.
Cons: I really wanted this to be duel POV. I understand why that doesn’t really make sense for the story (although I’m holding out hope that book 2 is!), but I wanted inside Lach’s head.
This story gave off some beauty and the beast vibes early one which I love. I need book 2 immediately (in the meantime, I’m off to read filthy rich vampire)

I really liked this one. I was invested the entire time. Plot twists, common fae themes but very enjoyable, fun character back and forths, building relationships with characters, all the things. I definitely see the vibes of the Originals. I’m interested to see where this goes. I really enjoy the consistency of the author throughout her books. Reading the next asap.
“And if I have to walk into Hell to get her back… let me burn.” 🥵🔥😮💨

The FMC was the wooooorst. She was TSTL and so inconsistent. She would think one thing and then do the exact opposite in the next scene or two.

I’d been hearing so much buzz about Geneva Rose’s Filthy Rich series, especially from fellow book lovers, and I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to dive in. The moment I started the first book, I was pulled right in. It opens on what seems like an ordinary day in the life of a nurse, but that calm quickly unravels, revealing something much more layered and mysterious. Before I knew it, I was completely immersed—trying to untangle what was real, what was hidden, and what was part of the elaborate world Geneva has created.
What I loved most was how seamlessly the story blends the gritty reality of New Orleans with the rich, secretive supernatural underworld. There’s everything you want in a Fae-centered story: trickery, deception, secrets, and a slow unraveling of truths that kept me turning the pages. The layers in this book are so well-crafted—just when you think you’ve figured something out, another twist pulls you deeper. It’s one of those reads that keeps you thinking even after you’ve finished. I’m beyond glad I already have book two queued up because I’m absolutely ready to keep going!
