I liked it. Didn't love, love, love it but it was entertaining. I do wish that a lot of YA books would age up some characters to be new adults and not like 15/16. They feel more like 20-23 y/o's but for some reason every YA book they have to be children with adult brains.

An interesting world that has its roots based on slavery and the time of the wild west and iron magnates. A place where a group of girls escape their cage and set off to makes themselves free in a world where it's hard to be free. I really enjoyed Aster and the process she goes through to not only get her sister out of this life, but those that come along, with or without her approval.

sort of a YA mad max: fury road. fun but also impactful. beginning was a little slow, and i wish we spent more time on tansy and mallow (the f/f couple), but otherwise a pretty solid novel
