Short ANF a quick read

Short ROM com. I did not think k it was going to be an instant love type deal but I was wrong. I just don't understand how you could know a person for years but from the outside then love them a week later.

Okay rant over, good book. Liked the author. Pretty sure I will continue with the series.

Cute and fun and light

Ohhh mama! Such a cute book...

Clay has this innocent vibe going for him that makes him so swoon worthy.... He is polite, helpful and kind. You can feel the sadness and the helpless feeling he feels when initially he isn't given any of the shares...

A very well written book! Loved it!

HEAVY Mormon vibes from this extremely tame romance book. If you can even call it that. The writing was horrific and so childish. Much like twilight, you get the overzealous religion aspects and that’s extremely annoying in a “romance”. Wish I could give it zero stars honestly.

Quick read on my kindle. I liked it. Was cute and entertaining.

Off-limits Childhood friends/neighbors

Reader’s Notes:

– this is book one of a series but can be read as a stand-alone

– this is told from Clay and Lauren’s points of view

– there is a little bit of innuendo

Review:

Clay and Lauren’s story is so funny! I really enjoyed how most people they knew thought they would end up together. And some of them would even tell Lauren and/or Clay anytime they saw them (I’m looking at you kooky neighbors). I also enjoyed how both of them interacted with Lauren’s nephew and loved to cuddle him. I can’t forget to mention that their banter was hilarious and so cute when they were thinking about how much they liked each other (both before they let the other person know and after). And I think one of my favorite scenes from the story was when Lauren, Clay, and his grandparents played Scrabble. I laughed out loud multiple times just reading that scene!

Both Lauren and Clay have been hiding their feelings for each other for awhile.

Clay is hiding them because Lauren is his best friend’s little sister. Not only does his best friend have a grudge against her and Clay needs to take his side, but now her father is trying to get Clay to break Lauren and her current boyfriend up if things get serious. Just because Clay’s done it in the past on his own doesn’t mean that he wants someone else to use his break-up powers for their own benefit. But he can’t really say no to his boss…

Lauren is hiding her feelings because she thinks that Clay doesn’t feel the same way and he has to take her brother’s side in whatever argument they are having at the time. But when she chooses to spend more time with Clay instead of avoiding him, she discovers that Clay may actually have feelings for her. Unfortunately, she also discovers what her father asked Clay to do and she is not happy having her love life managed for her without her knowledge. Plus she might not be able to date Clay if she has to sign the papers her dad has drawn up for her and her brother to take over the family company…

Will Clay and Lauren be able to get past their thoughts, hurts, and situations in order to find love together? Or will someone break down and do what they are expected to instead of what they want to?

A cute little, quick read (or listen, since I chose audiobook!). Good character development and just overall very lighthearted.
