Quote i liked the most ?
" Never Belittle love no matter where it comes from. "
The story revolves around a girl who is about to turn 18 and falls for a guy, NO! three guys i guess. Tried suicide twice but survived somehow, spent months in rehabilitation center and departs with message for life.
I liked the book as a whole and this is what i am expecting out of books i read. I started reading this book in the morning before breakfast and believe me i wasn't able to control myself to close the book in between to read next day. Once started just after even 3 pages, one is bound to complete the book in one session. The parts of the book are nicely connected with each other just like one takes a train for a destination and keep enjoying till it arrives. I wish i could meet the characters in the story once but alas some parts are fiction and some non-fiction. I am sure when someone read this book he can relate to various occasions as i could relate myself for most of them. Such a nicely written story, selection of phrases, choices of words and more importantly the characters . The book talks lot about true love, betrayal(not intense), propose etc. One thing is very clear that whoever falls in love should confess it aptly, neither very fast not slow but at one point it should be confessed, even when the expectation is not matching the reality. Also the story suggest one should not be so busy in his/her world that he/she is not able to see the future else at last there is only "i wish, i could".
I didn't like the girl in the story as she knowingly plays with the feelings of all other guys who even showed a tiny interest in her. She doesn't even think to involve in sexual act and when the time come for the commitment, she chose her will and showed the real face. Not to one, not to two but to all the three guys. She couldn't been loyal to any one of those. I am wondering for the fate of the boy she married finally.I am pretty sure he is also gonna suffer because of her as The author says its a mix of real life stories.
The book is full of emotion, drama, life lessons, success and failures etc and the title of the story clearly justifies : " You really cannot predict life. It can turn anywhere and to anyside "
Finally i think the ending of the book could have been made more interesting. It just ends.
This novel is not very "AlAG" but its worth reading. I guess one can read it multiple times at-least the last few pages after the girls is admitted in the hospital.
I am completely moved by the story and longing to read more books from the author to experience all this again.

For someone who loves a book that leaves you thoughtful and hopeful in the end, this one's the pick.
dealing with bipolar disorder, stigma, healing and all of it, its just not any other book.
Its a story of a girl who ends up in a mental health institute after trysts with some crippling moments in her life. But she's just 21, and even tries to attempt suicide. it leaves you with a hope that "Life is What You Make It ".

Kinda complicated book. Not at all easy-read. Too descriptive on depression and elaborate thoughts.

Three years back I had read this book and didn't quite understand the impact and depth of it. Three years later, I picked it up again and absolutely loved it. I have learnt so much about life from this book. It hits you like a wave and you are back to square one. The main character stands up again and builds herself up. Please see the trigger warnings before you start this though..

It is one of the most heartwarming books I've ever read. Of the many realms of life, love brings us to question ourselves. The constant shift from optimism to pessimism always made our minds all the more chaotic. Yet we stand tall, confident and determined in the path that Life paves for us. It's a story that'll embrace us,hint at our strengths and will deeply move us,for sure. It is so close to my heart!
This is the story of Ankita, who's very distinguished in whichever field she takes up. She's that girl for whom every other guy falls head over heels. Her life revolves around being proficient at academics, art and literature. She pours her heart over at anything she desires to do. She's enthusiastic, easy to get along with and exuberant - in the ascendant of her life. Like every other person, she's in a dilemma at almost every decision but she ends up doing it nonchalantly.
The decisions Ankita takes have also been hugely influenced by her parents as she belongs to a conservative family. Some incidents have put her through a rollercoaster ride. Her gleeful life comes to a long hiatus. She's unable to figure out how to do away with this utter void that life has brought about within herself. What does life have in store for her? Will she be able to come back to the life she's always been - rejoicing the little things that gave her so much to be felt alive? Will she ever be able to meet her own self by surviving the pricks & pokes of life?
The Author, Preeti Shenoy has penned down this beautiful story to which we all can relate. She's won millions of hearts with elegance, the characters she builds, drawing just the perfect touch of emotions that etches your heart with a deep feeling of realisation. 'Never Belittle Love' is one such from one of the sweetest characters.Thank you @preeti.shenoy for portraying a heartful story with social message which we all must pay heed to.Much love to you!

This book is simply amazing. It discovers the agony and anguish of mental health which is considered a taboo in India. How important it is to maintain mental health just like the physical health is something that you will realize by the end of this book. The importance of guidance and help from others really matters and you can't just take it for granted.

It may not be a well written book, but it hit's hard. And I am frightened by how relatable it is.
Though a happy ending...I felt really sad after reading the book. The depression was expressed in such a way that you could feel it.
Not recommended for a sensitive person but otherwise a good read!!!
