A very beautiful book, would pair well with a cranberry and rosemary French 75 cocktail.
I love LG’s prose…her writing is so beautiful, this book is very sad!
This book was extremely well written. I wish it had a different ending, though.
Beautifully written and compelling story of survival. The context in which Romans 6:16 is referenced illustrates the madness of believing ancient texts are the source of ethics and morality.

I’m not sure how I feel about this book but it is gorgeously written.

2.5 stars. A girl runs through the woods, almost dies in horrible ways in every other page, and then flash forward twenty years later, she finally dies. Nothing happens except running and bowel movements. Thank God this was so short; otherwise, it would have been 1-2 stars. I do like Groffs writing style but there was barely any plot and weird pacing.
A beautiful story about survival and contemplation over the meaning of your life. It struck me a bit cryptic, I think I would’ve would myself a bit more invested if I had been given more context about the time period & lead character. Was entirely captivated by her bravery at the end!
