This book didn't quite work for me right now, I think mostly because of the denser historical style of prose. Was definitely interested in the setting and premise, so I might pick it up and try again down the road.

Wow. This was my commute book right after moving from a city to a rural area, and i listened to it mostly surrounded by trees and fog and dark. It was filled with forest gore and peril and ached with hope and beauty. It was disgusting and absurd, and I LOVED it. Actual five stars.
