Content Note:
This book is a paranormal horror romance. It contains horror elements, graphic violence, and sexual content, so it's not suitable for readers under 18. Check your triggers.
Dominic hates his step sister. But is obsessed with her.
He also says sweet things to here like : “I’m going to hurt you. I won’t stop until you’re a dripping sobbing mess.”
My thoughts:
You know when you get that feeling that you shouldn’t be doing something? That’s the feeling this book gives. I was creeped out reading it at night (don’t recommend) and something falls on its own in my kitchen. Then the dog came out barked a few times at nothing and went back to bed! Did I get up and look. Heck no I didn’t! Did i stop reading and put my kindle in the freezer in said kitchen? Also NO! Did I read on just to feel more creeped out? YES, yes i did!
I don’t regret it either…..not one bit.
This book is full of creepiness, gore and smut. I absolutely loved it all! I gasped so many times and then yelling at the end of the book! UGH so good

I really enjoyed it right up until the ending. Like what? Both dead? And then the house is still haunted even though they got rid of the demon. But it still gets 4 stars because Dom had me

My mind is still reeling from this book and how it messes with it. This is a Paranormal Horror story with a spicy Dark Romance, and it is so good!
The relationship that develops between Dominic and Camryn so well done, they have so much chemistry which keeps you hooked even when the horror is very strong and overwhelming, but in a good way as a great horror should be.
Speaking of the horror element, I really loved how it pushed the story forward, and there were so many twists that it really kept you on edge. The twist at the end will definitely stick with me. Let's just say it has a very bittersweet ending that feels fitting for the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading Conjure. I will say it is a mature read (so 18+), and please check triggers first before reading it!

I got the honor to Arc read Conjure by Harleigh Beck and this book has been one of my top reads this year.
Conjure is Paranormal Horror Romance
Camryn, her mom and stepbrother Dom ends up moving to this creepy old house after her stepfather and Dom’s twin brother end up

Well, this was my last and final try, as I know with certainty now, that this genre is not for me anymore. I won’t do a full a review with all my thoughts about this one, it wouldn’t be fair honestly.
Let’s just say I’m not the audience for this anymore.
In the last few months my tastes have drastically changed. I used to enjoyed this type of reads a lot, I used to love Harleigh Beck books, and I think I would’ve enjoyed this a lot 5-6 months ago. But not anymore.
The story was not bad, and I liked the outcome. The epilogue brings a solid scenario that made it worth it as a horror story. But the execution and writing were not doing it for me at all. Unfortunately it took out most of the fun.
This is horror, there is absolutely no doubt about that. But this is still for the dark romance readers. So if you are looking for an extra spicy, but scary story, with all the codes of the dark romance (tropes and kinks), you may like this.
This shit got me all the wayyyyyyy f**cked up. I kept pausing, I could not read it at night, I couls not sleep properly. I blame Camryn cuz ho is dumb!?!?!? What's wrong w/ u??? OMG, she had me stressedddddd. Harleigh...hunny...wtaf????? This was a damn good horror tho and it was my first. The spice was spicing tho
Ahhh, I’ve been tricked! I thought something entirely different was happening in the epilogue until the POV switch revealed the truth, leaving me staring at the wall, processing what I’d just read. It’s horror, after all, and a guaranteed HEA wasn’t on the table—so maybe I tricked myself.
This was my first Harleigh Beck book, and it definitely won’t be my last. While it was pretty messed up, I genuinely enjoyed it. The writing was well done, and the plot had me turning pages right to the end. The creepy atmosphere got under my skin and made me shiver more than once. If it weren’t for the middle section, where spicy scenes seemed to pop up out of nowhere and felt awkwardly placed in my opinion, I probably would have given it a full 4 stars. Regardless, it was very spicy and filthy in a dark and depraved hate-to-love kind of way, though there was one questionable moment not involving the MMC that definitely turned my stomach.
Overall, I loved the storyline, atmosphere, and characters and I had a fantastic, creepy time reading Conjure. I’d recommend it to anyone craving a dark, eerie, and spicy read—just keep in mind that the ending might not go the way you’re hoping.
