Ahhh, I’ve been tricked! I thought something entirely different was happening in the epilogue until the POV switch revealed the truth, leaving me staring at the wall, processing what I’d just read. It’s horror, after all, and a guaranteed HEA wasn’t on the table—so maybe I tricked myself.

This was my first Harleigh Beck book, and it definitely won’t be my last. While it was pretty messed up, I genuinely enjoyed it. The writing was well done, and the plot had me turning pages right to the end. The creepy atmosphere got under my skin and made me shiver more than once. If it weren’t for the middle section, where spicy scenes seemed to pop up out of nowhere and felt awkwardly placed in my opinion, I probably would have given it a full 4 stars. Regardless, it was very spicy and filthy in a dark and depraved hate-to-love kind of way, though there was one questionable moment not involving the MMC that definitely turned my stomach.

Overall, I loved the storyline, atmosphere, and characters and I had a fantastic, creepy time reading Conjure. I’d recommend it to anyone craving a dark, eerie, and spicy read—just keep in mind that the ending might not go the way you’re hoping.

WHAT A FUCKIN BOOK. Okay so this is a paranormal horror romance with enemies to lovers, step brother (but not really) lots of fuckin triggers, and so much blurring of reality and imagination it’ll make your head spin! Smut was 4/5 on the spice scale, and its an ending. That’s all I’ll say.

If you don't mind horror, demonic stories that edge you the entire book, then you'll love this.

I have rated this 4.5☆

This book begins with Camryn, step-brother Dominic, and her mom moving to a small town to start over after a tragic accident. The dynamic between Dom and Camryn is intense and demanding. It isn't a predictable book and remains engaging throughout the entire read. There is mystery, horror, thriller, and smut. What's not to love? I loved it.

The author did an impeccable job at crafting this story together and weaving the plot into something amazing and sinister. The way this book pulls together, all the key details were delicious! It demanded pages to turn. I devoured this book, finishing it in less than 24 hours.

Does it have HEA? Sorta. But it still works. Would absolutely recommend.

holy!

4.75 / 5 stars!

This book read EXACTLY like a scary movie.  NOTE: This is a paranormal horror erotica, therefore there is a untraditional HEA, high emphasis on the paranormal and horror, and a high emphasis on the smut.  Now that being said, Harleigh Beck writes some top tier smut. This book had me hanging on by the seat of my pants trying to figure out the mystery and the backstory behind this haunted house.  I am obsessed with the plot twist, and I loved how it all came together at the end.  It's only not a five star for me because a couple of smut scenes that involved the 'spirit' was a little cringe / much for me, but otherwise I am obsessed!

man this book was a trip. i was so confused but i loved it. the way everything just clicked. ugh man i love dominic and camryn. i’m still so confused honestly but i still love it??

I DNF this book. I wanted to finish it because of the plot but the constant SA from her step brother was a bit too much. Every chapter is her being SA by her step brother for no reason at all. The book had an intriguing plot but it plays second to the SA.

THIS BOOK!!!! WOW!! This book is very different from Harleigh's other books and It was fantastic. I want MORE!!!!!

Con·jure
verb
1. call upon (a spirit or ghost) to appear, by means of a magic ritual

Camryn is trying to adjust to moving to a new town, new house and new life after tragedy. Moving from the city out to the country in the only place that Camryn's mom can afford with her step-brother Dominic is proving to be difficult. The house is creepy, old and is surrounded by a forest that the trees whisper in the wind. Rumors, death and questionable things also surround this house that has seen better days.

While Camryn is a wallflower she is spreading her wings and making friends at her new college, Dominic has always drawn people to him. He is a grumpy alpha-hole. He hates the world and especially Camryn.

Something evil is there and is feeding on fear, pain and desire.
I absolutely loved this book. it was refreshingly haunting. I gasped, shivered and totally freaked myself out. Mind over matter, right? Read Conjure and find out.
