Anti Hero was...okay. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't the worst book I have read, it was just...meh. Both of the characters are supposed to have these horrible backstories, but I didn't really see it. Like I was told what it was but didn't believe these characters actually went through that.

Sofia was also kind of annoying. I know she is trying to be a badass journalist and do whatever she wants, but um maybe use your head for two seconds so you don't get yourself killed? Like she wants to get her story and is not willing to think before she puts herself in harm's way. Like facing off with a bad guy when he has tried to kill you before, but now it is in the open so he can't do anything right? Cause bad guys always play within the rules. The way she went about doing her job was not very smart and it annoyed me. Because there were better, safer, ways to accomplish the same thing.

Overall this was a meh story. The characters were meh, the story itself was meh, it was just not that good. Oh well, it was a quick read.

That was something new

I loved this storyline. The differences between Nate and Sofia are stark but they spark for each other. Even though Nate hates being the hero he just can't help himself. Love the plot twists and the ending. My heart broke a little for Remy but finding her sister is better than nothing. Great book, great storyline, and loved the characters! Two thumbs up!

A reason to live to fight another day

Both of the characters Nate and Sofia have gone through tragic life experiences that affected their relationship with each other. It wasn't my until the possibility of Nate's losing Sofia that they both realized that they could'nt live without the other. They fought the previous demons in their nightmares to make sure they would be there for each other. This was an easy read story that showed how strength and determination in life can be had when one has a reason to and that reason is LOVE!

This probably shouldn't be a factor, but it totally is...

Anti-Hero ends at 43%... there's another full length novel after.. NOW I understand this should be a bonus, but it's a distraction because 1. It's not advertised in any way, and 2. I found myself wondering how this book would continue for another 50% when it seemed to have been at its conclusion... which is super distracting.

That being said, I'm just not crazy about this book... I didn't find the characters engaging and they seemed to be very surface level. The story line had promise, but ultimately fell short.

The writing is decent, and there were minimal errors, but I wouldn't recommend this book.

Ex's who get a second chance, and one happens to be a hot military man, count me in. Sophia is trying to get the scoop of the century but then her newspaper office blows up. Shaken and scared that her story might just get her hurt she goes home to find people there to kill her. Her ex comes to her rescue and vows to keep her safe.

Their reasons for their breakup is in part to her tenacity and putting herself in danger to get the story. Sophia knows if she can break her story she can save many lives. Nate just hopes he can keep her alive until then. Twist and turns, action packed.

Really wanted to like this one. Nate was great, but the heroine was just TSTL and I don't have time for that.
