I can't rate it now, I need to sleep on it.
It seemed to be two different books, the first part had the convenience store woman vibe, the second part was more Kafkaesque.
It holds such a horror, it made me physically nauseous. It's certainly brilliant, but it sits like a heavy greasy dinner.

I didn’t realise what I was getting myself into - it really was a descent into madness.

I really enjoy Murutas writing style, as I’ve read Convenience Store Woman and loved it. This was definitely much darker, but the way she takes me on a journey made everything insane feel sane.

Would say definitely a lot of triggers in this book so read the warnings, as I wasn’t expecting it so dark!
