I find the story perplexing, and I keep expecting the tiger to eat Sophie and her mum.

Baby enjoys it. I think she would prefer we had sausages, chips and ice cream for dinner, too.

Tonight's goodnight story is brought to you by The Tiger Who Came to Tea by Judith Kerr. The tiger is so ravenous that it consumes the town's water supply; there is no water for a bath after this incident. I assume the tiger had to make a pit stop afterwards.

Lesson: Do not entertain a tiger for tea, they are not the best companions for such an event.
Bonkers book with some entertainment amongst all the malarky.

Entertaining older story. Very British, very proper, and jolly good fun to read at teatime!

I’ve read this to my small human many times. It was a favourite in my childhood, and I was a bit worried about how it would have dated, but it wasn’t as bad as feared, and is still quite delightful.

I adored this book when I was little, and I recently purchased it again, purely for the nostalgia! I resisted the urge to have my Mum read it to me (haha) but it hasn't lost any of its original charm.

Sure the social concepts are a little outdated now, but it still makes for a fabulous children's book; definatelt and without a doubt one of my all time favourites.
