Beautiful read, gripped me from beginning to end. Just what I needed as someone who grew up reading Jacqueline Wilson! Nothing was out of the ordinary and moved me, but it was just a beautiful, finish reading it smiling type of book!

As I was reading this I kinda realised halfway through that I wasn't enjoying it! I read the four girls books as a child and then reread them as prep for this and I think I just don't like the characters! Ellie is rly annoying and I think magda and nadine are bad friends (esp here any friend could see that Gary is bad news). OK I'm ranting now but I hate how much time Wilson gives to the Gary storyline and then nothing about lottie and her dad we didn't even get an ending to that!? I think reading Wilsons writing as an adult has made me realise maybe I don't like her prose and omg if young Louise could see me saying that she'd think I'm crazy! Yeah just disappointing if anything.
