It was nice to read a fantasy novel that didn’t lead to a larger war, I feel like I’ve been on a war theme streak and this one was far more magical! Took me a while to get into it but once I did it was worth pushing through!

I picked this one up at the recommendation of many friends on "bookstagram". This story was fascinating and intriguing. I found myself getting lost in the pages and not realizing how much I had read which is fascinating to me. 

This story is a blend of high fantasy, with the development of a magic system and world building that leaves you wondering. I'm thankful this is the first in a series because this ending left me wondering and wanting more! 

There is so much details within these pages I definitely feel like I missed things, but that comes with the territory of fantasy books. There's a small shred of romance to this story, but it adds to the plot in a necessary way and feels essential to the story line. 

If you're curious about this one absolutely give it a read!
