Wasn’t sure what to expect, but it caught my attention. A great cliffhanger, but I’m still unsure of the twists and turns for book two. I’m worried for Bess lol, but excited to see what the Nightmare is capable of.

Well….that took FOREVER to finish!!! I was very unimpressed by this book. I do not get the hype and I will not be 

reading the next book in this two book series. I felt like the creature inside Elspeth was Venom, but a very boring and humorless Venom. I really wasn’t into anything about this book. It also really needed a page telling what each card’s magic was so you can keep up with what was going on. Oh well. At least I made it through the book! 🥴👍🏻
