I have read some of the Alex Delaware novels and decided to start from the beginning. I liked this book a lot. It was entertaining, psychological, and it had a really nice flow to it. I am excited to read the next one!

I'll keep reading this series. Another psychologist detective. Some of the conversations are crass and the scenes are graphic, but overall a good read. Well written with vivid imagery.

I enjoyed this book except for the negative portrayal of women. The author constantly refers to multiple female characters as unattractive, desperate, lonely, pathetic, etc. I know the book was published over 30 years ago but I really got the feeling that the author did not have much respect for women. Other than that the book was interesting and enjoyable.

Overall a decent read. Enjoyed how descriptive the author is while presenting a scene. The ending was too fast paced compared to the remainder of the book (which started to feel dragged out and could’ve been compressed). Nevertheless, not a bad way to spend a holiday. Will need to read other books in this series to make a more comprehensive opinion of my liking of the author.

Working my way through my TBR and finally read this one last weekend. I like the Delaware series...even though I have to completely suspend belief on most of the charades that the good doc gets away with and the way Kellerman brings it all together in the end.

The second time I've read this. A fast paced novel with the requisite amount of intrigue. Dated in a lot of ways: some of the terminology made me cringe. Looking forward to embarking on an Alex Delaware journey!

This was definitely a little bit of a slow burn that had me guessing who done it and how it all tied together until the very end. This was the first in the series and I think that they’ll only get better with time. 3.5/5 stars and I’ll pick up another one.

First book in the Alex Delaware and it was a good beginning. The story was well written and the relationship between Alex and Milo is intersting. Good book.
