Not as good as the musical. I think the ending line is really great, and the story is amazing. Pretty accurate depiction of High School, but the characters have WAY better relationships in the musical.
It was a great ride but a little bit of a let down later on.

Soooo, the ending was a little shitty but I liked the book
I appreciate Vizzini's willingness to create a character who doesn't shy away from bringing up all aspects of being a teen. The premise behind the story seemed to fall flat as the characters did not seem to have as much depth. Be More Chill made me appreciate It's Kind Of A Funny Story even more. I hope there is more in his arsenal.
This was honestly super fun to read, hilarious but also real for so many things. It was nice to find all the differences with the musical and honestly? I love both. The ending was... ???? but I knew that before starting it, I enjoyed it a lot anyway.
