An OK read. Pretty predictable. The narration was decent with the exception of the occasional change in the male voice. Not sure what happened there.

Once Garrett got over the high school/widower thing, it got better. I liked Charlie's independent nature and her willingness to help Syd.

This one was the best of the 3 books in the series. 3.75 stars.

4 ‘Small Town Gems’ Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I first met the main characters of this book when I read the short story called ‘Sex Weeks’ in an anthology named ‘#MomFails’. I absolutely fell in love with Garrett and Charlie so I had to find out how their love story came to be. Piper and Rayne did not disappoint!! I really liked this book. I may even go back and read the rest of the series!

Before I started this series, I was so hesitant because honestly, the book covers and titles are not for me. However, I'm trying to read all the Piper Rayne books in order and I'm very glad I gave this series a try because I've had a lot of fun reading it.

I loved Dane and Ava's book (it's my favorite in the series) and I was really excited to read about Garrett because I don't know much about him at all. I feel like he didn't really show up or do anything in the first two books. I was expecting Charlie and Garrett to be distant because other than Charlie's obvious crush on him, it didn't really seem like there were many interactions between them, despite Charlie's efforts. In book 1, I'm pretty sure there was a scene where Garrett mentioned Charlie and Marcus was surprised(?) that he even knew her name. However, that was not the case. It made me wonder how close they were, especially because we don't see that in the other books, and I was just really confused in the beginning when Charlie was so straightforward about her attraction towards him. I also got the impression that Charlie was shy about her crush so it made me wonder if I was reading things wrong in book 1 and 2. The writing style, pace, and characters in this series are great but I just wasn't convinced of the chemistry in this book. It took me a lot longer to finish than the others.

Garrett Garrett he’s soooo grumpy !! But with good reason but Charlie has been crushing on him for years , all it takes is a little look and Charlie is swooning ! Garrett and Charlie are adorable once he finally starts to allow himself to feel , such a cute story
emotional funny relaxing fast-paced

All good things must come to an end. I’m very sad to say it but the Single Dad’s Club has had it’s last meeting and is now adjourned forever.

I’m always excited when a Piper Rayne book shows up on my kindle. Every single book I’ve read has been a fun journey. I have truly enjoyed every single book, from Marcus to Dane, but I was most intrigued by Garrett. The guy who doesn’t say much sure is one hell of a man!

After losing his high school sweetheart 12 years ago, Garrett has focused on one thing and one thing only...his daughter, Sydney. She’s growing up quickly and Garrett is truly not prepared for all the hormones and everything else that comes with being a teen girl. Fortunately for Garrett, Charlie can step in and help where she can with his daughter.

But it’s getting harder and harder not to notice his best friend Vance’s little sister, Charlie, is all grownup. Knowing she’s had a crush on him since they were children, Garrett’s made it perfectly clear to Charlie nothing will ever come of it.

But Garrett has underestimated Charlie.

Charlie has always loved Garrett, as far back as she can remember. She has always been his #1 cheerleader. When Garrett starts giving Charlie mixed signals, she figures it’s now or never. It’s time to show him that she’s all grown up. Time to see if her happily ever after will be with the only man she’s ever truly loved.

When Garrett finally lets his guard down, will he be able to face his biggest fears and let the last piece of the puzzle fall into place?

I fell in love with Garrett and Charlie. I laughed, I cried and I was completely smitten with this story. I also enjoyed watching the other couples grow in their relationships, a Modern Love “guest” and got to see where Piper Rayne is taking us in the next series. I’m sad that the Single Dad’s Club is over but I truly enjoyed each of their Happily Ever Afters.

If only there was a little more about Charlie and Garrett’s HEA…..hmm ;)

First time author for me and I enjoyed this book very much.
Not too complicated. Sexy hero and strong heroine and sexy times galore.

I absolutely love growly, brooding men with beards. And boy does Sexy Beast deliver a great one. Garrett is definitely one hell of a sexy beast. I'd gladly volunteer as tribute to heal his hurting heart. I’ve been intrigued by Garrett’s story since I first met him in Real Deal and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. It turned out to be everything I wanted. Piper Rayne continue to astound me with their writing. I’ve read everything of theirs that I could get my hands on and I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.

Garrett is a single dad, a widower, and a growly beast of a man. He’s broody, grumpy, and determined to never commit again. There’s just one problem—Charlie. Charlie is spunky, sweet, and his best friend’s sister. Their relationship is one that’s evolved over the years. Charlie’s crush on Garrett seems to be an open secret. Garrett’s feelings for her seem to be more of a secret. There is a ton of great push and pull between them. I loved the witty banter. The chemistry of them was amazing. They were well-written, complex and dynamic.

I will admit that I was hoping for a big KABOOM moment when Garrett finally got his head out of his bum. But that didn’t happen. There is a small amount of drama and it was kind of predictable. But neither of these things detracted from my enjoyment of the story. The writing duo of Piper Rayne have become one of my go-to authors for a story that’ll make me smile and laugh. I have loved this whole series, but I can definitely tell you that Garrett is my favorite. I just love a growly beast.

If you’re in the mood for a heart-tugging story about a single dad and his best friend’s little sister, pick this one up. It’s the perfect blend of humor, heat, and sweet.
