Like the first book, this is solid but not amazing. The mystery part is better developed and there is some character development, albeit sometimes rather schmaltzy (the rhymed little sayings about keeping things clean is also schmaltzy, almost intentionally so). The deceased is a famous mystery author, who is dislikable so that you are not meant to care much about his death. I am not so sure that the motive is entirely convincing but that wasn't a big deal.

Totally enjoyable mystery with wonderful characters, but be sure to read The Maid first.  Molly is a treasure.  I look forward to her continued personal growth.
