Well if it isn’t the book that made me have to leave the CR Facebook group because everyone was so mad…

I’m so glad I read the book to come here and say how wrong and dramatic everyone is!

I miss the original Cora books with arranged marriages to emotionally unavailable men, however, this was still a solid Cora Reilly book with the families we love in the background. Aurora and Nevio had a fairly interesting and unique story and I’m glad I read it.

Lo cierto es que me ha gustado algo más de lo que esperaba.

I confess I had some different expectations for this one… and it's not that I'm disappointed, it just wasn't what I was expecting.
both Nevio and Aurora had a different arc than I was expecting, both individually and together. it's also a book with a trope I'm not the biggest fan of, so that kind of took me out of the story. like you know when you kind of suspend belief because something is too much? it's weird that of all I've read in this book this was the thing… but yeah, that happened.
once again I loved going back to the older characters and seeing their family dynamics through Nevio's eyes.
it was also really interesting to see how Reilly would write him without making him a carbon copy of Remo because they have a very similar arc and personality. I liked Remo a tiddy bit more because I feel that his struggles and darkness were a bit more explored and exposed than Nevio's were.
despite it all it was still a great book and I enjoyed it so much and can't wait for more!

I couldn’t wait for this book. I was so excited since seeing glimpses of them throughout other books.

However, I did want a little more of the best friends to lovers trope rather than the obsessive stalking one cause I’m not a fan of that. Thankfully it wasn’t for the whole book.

I just am very biased when it comes to this series because when you read 20 books in the same universe with recurring characters that you’ve seen grow through time, well you’re bound to get attached.
