This book was nit the best in the series. I get the h went through a traumatic experience, but the way she treated Scrap for most of book irritated me. She acted like they barely knew each other before he went away, when he was in love with her. I didn't feel the chemistry for this couple.

I didn’t love this one as much as the others. I mean, I did like it but the story felt very rushed. It was shorter than the others, around 200 pages, so that’s understandable, but I felt robbed. Especially with the trauma the heroine went through, even though I thought it was very well written and handled, I would’ve liked more time for her to explore her relationship with the hero. I wish this book had been longer!

I get why some reviewers were upset by the way people treated Crista, but I also think it’s realistic. I thought this was well done.
