Must Love Silence

This book approached a hard topic very lightly, and I don't mean it in a bad way. Quite the opposite. Otherwise it would've overwhelmed the reading, IMHO. I think trust was the most important word here, especially for someone in Reese's position. There's only one POV and it was a really fun head to be inside of and I'm glad how things worked up, but I would've loved to see more about them. The end was a bit fast for me heheh. But this was a very good reading.

Nothing special, just a fun lil book

I absolutely loved this book. As my first read of 2021, it made me laugh out loud multiple times and had everything I wanted in a lesbian romance novels. Likeable and relatable characters? Check. Fun bits? Check. Just a tiny bit of drama? Check. Steamy bits? Check.

I definitely feel like I am likely to reread this in the future and highly suggest it to other lovers of lesfic.

Thank you for such an enjoyable read, Lucy!

This book was really delightful!! The lesfic genre sometimes tends to be high on drama and angst but low on quality writing. This book was quality writing at its finest.

Reese and Arden were both intelligent, hard working women who both were struggling with their own demons. Reese hasn’t left the house in over 250 days but needed to take this job narrating Arden’s latest book in order to pay an outstanding bill. The chemistry between the two was immediate and didn’t diminish one bit. The author’s use of witty dialogue and figurative language really made this book stand out. I look forward to her next book!!

This was a quick and light read with a dash of humor but overall it felt very inconsistent.
Reese, who hadn't left her apartment in almost a year and cringed at every imposed human contact just changed in less than two weeks without flinching. Why was she even such a recluse to begin with, did something happen during her childhood, was it because of her parents or failed past relationships, we never really find out the deeper reason for the fears and anxiety at the beginning of the book.
Arden's issues also felt brushed over, she was depicted as this cold and uptight author at first and by the end it was like reading about a totally different character. The minor characters also acted in ways that didn't make much sense.
