MY FAVORITE STAND ALONE NOVEL OF ALL TIME IT'S GREAT

Update: Read it again recently! Still good, but I think i loved it more all those years ago lmao

I LOVED Twilight despite the fact that Stephanie Meyer isn't the best writer. Take away Bella, Edward and Jacob, and The Host is kinda boring. I think it will make a better movie honestly!

This book is slow but a lovely read, especially about finding your place in the world and seeing how you fit. Wonderful found family vibes.

However the film adaptation did this book so dirty! Left out 90% of the story, so I guess don’t judge a book by its film

Didn't liked the end, too simple.

Overall, I liked the spacey stuff and the races, makes you wonder about the space

My only complaint is that sometimes Meyers female characters can be a bit whiney.

I just wrote basically a fifty page essay on why I love this despite its problems and I accidentally deleted it all I want to die ughhhhh

Well, I know what I said at least

Listen. This book is good and enjoyable. The concept is so good. The execution is a little average in terms of being really heteronormative and problematic in places. But! I just really enjoy the experience of it tbh. Following Wanda on her journey to "going native." Watching her growing, developing, & changing. Seeing how the humans around her react to and interact with her. At its heart, it really is such an interesting & incredible story.
Also I definitely forgot how long and detailed this book is. Wild how high school me consumed it like nothing.
