Before I get into Blake and Emmett’s relationship, I felt like there should have been more information about the two of them before they decided to marry each other. I loved their chemistry and was rooting for them the entire book. I thought the drama was super intense and literally sobbed when Emmett faked his death….he could’ve told her that he was planning to do that instead of causing her so much pain. I thought that the connection between the first and second book was really good and I enjoyed the mystery of finding out who started the trafficking ring. Overall, I did enjoy this book and can’t wait to read Holdens story when it comes out.

I really enjoyed this story and I loved the romantic suspense this entire series brings. the only things was that the climax was just little to predictable and anticlimactic. but otherwise i absolutely loved Emmett and Blakely's love!! Their connection and tension was through the roof and I cant wait to get to Holden's story!
Look I love Corinne Michaels books and I loved this love story - however, I could really do without the mystery aspect of this series. And this one felt like it was a lot.
I absolutely loved this book. It has so many of my favorite tropes including friends to lover, fake marriage, romantic suspense, small town, and former military (the hero AND the heroine). Emmett and Blakely were so much fun and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was super suspenseful but also emotional. I mean, is it even a Corinne Michaels book if it didn’t make me cry?

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this story line in particular, but Corinne has yet to disappoint so I figured I’d give it a go. I don’t want to give anything away so all I will say is Corinne!!! She had me shattered, questioning everything, hopeful, to shattered again, to being completely glued back together!!
I had been waiting for Emmett and Blake’s story since I read Spencer and Brie’s and it did not disappoint. Once again Corinne Michaels has me hooked right from the very first page. I felt like I couldn’t read fast enough to figure out why Blake had suddenly showed up, what her case was all about and if she was going to stay. Emmett being annoyed and angry with her from the start was totally understandable but also so obvious he loved her still. I mean what do you do when your fake wife comes back? Work it out? Break it off? Add in town gossip, and a mystery suspect. It’s just too good to put down. I really loved the banter and chemistry between Emmet and Blake, all of the memories and flashbacks also helped me to understand both of their stories more too. They both are tough and strong, but vulnerable with one another. A definite must read.
