ugh this book had my heart. I love a second chance romance, and then add in marriage of convenience and the suspense?! wow this one had me on edge. I ate this book up. I was kept on my toes the entire time, and the last 25%- WOW. Emmet & Blakely had the best banter and you could easily see how deeply they cared for and loved each other. I loved how they were best friends- it made me love the marriage of convenience even more. This book had me smiling, had me on edge, and made me cry. I love love loved this one. I cannot wait to go onto the next one in the series!

Uau 😍

Oh my heart- Corinne never fails to capture me completely. The angst, the suspense, the mystery juxtaposed to a heart touching and tension-filled romance. Emmett and Blakely’s second chance story touches the heart while the danger and twists keep the pages turning. I loved watching these two work together trying to solve an urgent mystery while also reconciling their past hurt and missteps. There is a lot of baggage to unpack- trust that needs to be repaired, healing that has to happen. I also loved that we had such a fierce and strong heroine in Blakely- and I loved seeing an imperfect heroine also find a way to repair the heartache she’s caused in a great role reversal. Their chemistry is so swoony and heartfelt, and Emmett is easy to fall for- if only Blakely can get over her past fears and open her heart. We have lots of sexual tension, meaningful moments, and a compelling plot that keeps you guessing. Yet another Corinne Michaels story that is easy to fall for!

Captain Blakely Bennett and Major Emmett Maxwell get back together in this second-chance romance in the small town of Rose Canyon.

Trigger Warning: Violence, Kidnapping
Warning: This is Book Two in a series. There may be spoilers from Book One.

Synopsis:
Emmett's soon-to-be-divorced wife is in Rose Canyon on the pretext of saving him. It's been two and half years of living apart from each other and suddenly, Blakely, the woman of his dreams, is there. The said woman is on a mission, investigating a case; she's a private investigator. But the old feelings from when they were in a marriage of convenience resurface, and soon they find themselves in danger as they get new leads in a case they thought was closed.

Review:
It was so cute that the story started with Brie and Spencer's wedding reception, where Emmett can't help but ogle Blakely Bennett, his military buddy and a medic.

Blakely and Emmett’s story in Give Me Love started with a marriage of professional convenience between best friends. And while Emmett, now 39, loved Blakely, he thinks she didn't love him enough then and applied for divorce.

Blakely may have got an ultimatum as to how long she can stay in Rose Canyon but before solving her case, she's not going anywhere. She may be terrified of relationships, seeing that no one she loves survives, but she's not going to give up her case of tracking down some missing teenage girls.

Emmett and Blakely’s pasts are interspersed throughout the story, where the military life and its joys and sorrows are touched upon. The warring feelings for each other that Blakely and Emmett have is what makes up most of the story.

Among the best things are a labradoodle called Sunday and a mystery that wraps itself around the small town of Rose Canyon with an air of suspense. And soon, things go downhill, but we can't let something as simple as tragedy ruin a happy-ever-after in a romance. [a:Corinne Michaels|7753662|Corinne Michaels|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1424618517p2/7753662.jpg] wrote everything so believably, though, that I cried my heart out for an entire section of the book.

Following that, I absolutely loved the climax. And the action that continued throughout till the end. I slowly realised how the author cleverly built that element of suspense from the first book of the series, with gradual revelations throughout the two books.

The ending was fantastic. I love strong women and Blakely is the boss lady when it comes to bad guys. Give Me Love ends on an epilogue two months later and I'm eager to read Keep This Promise to see where the story goes next. The epilogue has a nice enough introduction to the next book in the series though—Holden James and Sophie Pearson, I'm ready for you.

The second book in the Rose Canyon series is a marriage of convenience/marriage in trouble with romantic suspense. This one is just as good as Help Me Remember. It does continue the overarching plot, so while you can read this as a stand alone, I wouldn't as you will miss important information.

a marriage of convenience but this story takes years after they get married? this was so refreshing. emmett and blake were best friends turned spouses then estranged and back as friends then lovers. it was a fucking ride. they communicated way better than a lot of other couples and were never shy about their love for each other. and she broke his heart and he made her grovel which is such a rare thing to read. there was suspsense, action (our girl is a badass!!) and drama which is the basic recipe for me to eat a book up. this is my fave out of the series so far!!

Not a fan. Normally love CM and have read her whole back log but this book did not hit the same.  Main characters were in a marriage of convenience but both already loved each other so you didn’t see any of them falling in love. * spoiler* the fmc had a series fear of losing people she loved and the mmc completly ignored that when he chose to fake his death. He could have let her think he was dead for a few hours to get her out of town safely but he let her grieve for 2 weeks!! Seriously made me so mad. He chose to keep her and his I’ll father in the dark for so long it was so cruel. Then the mystery doesn’t get wrapped up at all. Fmc was a bad ass though and rescued herself which I did like but it wasn’t even a love story at all. And the mmc was awful to her
