I honestly am at a loss of words for what I am feeling right now. Corinne did not have to go and shatter my heart, make me sob uncontrollably, and put a band-aid on my heart like that. It is safe to say that this book will hurt you.
I loved Blakely's spunk, sass, and her no shit attitude. Oh, Emmett. He was protective, smooth, and brave. I really enjoyed getting peaks into their past together throughout the book. They were just so good together. Sunday. So freaking cute. I love it when we get some puppy snuggles in books.

I hurt for Blakely, I really did but I loved her. She had such a powerful personality and really grabbed the attention of a room. She certainly stole the attention of Emmett anytime she entered a room. I loved how unwilling she was to give up on her and Emmett, she was there to fight for their love even if she couldn't admit it at first. Blakely had so much love to give she just needed to let her walls down to be able to love Emmett fully. Blakely was brave and strong and honestly and FMC I aspire to be like, I loved the scene where she was pounding on Emmett's chest, the girl makes me giggle. She is 100% on my girl crush list.

It's hard not to feel bad for Emmett after his past with Blakely and the love he felt for her. However, dude was driving my crazy when he was being rude to Blakely. Like I understand that he was hurt and Blakely did the hurting, but he needed to chill out at some points. But once he opened his heart up for a second chance with Blakely he truly was the best. Emmett was hard not to love. He loves hard, and I mean hard he gave Blakely his all and made decisions he had to for her safety even if Blakely didn't understand and felt hurt. Emmett would have done anything for her and you have to admire him for it.

Corinne did so good with this second book, seriously I loved the first book of the series and the story just kept building. I seriously am amazed with the direction Corinne took the story, I was NOT expecting it at all and I loved every second. I literally DMed Corinne to freak out... sorry about that. Seriously you need to read this series, this is one of Corinne’s best and I love EVERYTHING this amazing woman writes.

I feel it was more an action book than a romance book. I liked Emmett and Blake but it wasn’t very thrilling despite all the drama going on around them. The crime aspect of it didn’t click for me because I felt it wasn’t making much sense.
I must say I liked how strong Blake was and the bickering they had between them.
