Fun & quick read. Ken has an engaging style so I can't be fully jealous of his brain or success.

This wasn't the most engaging book ever to sit and read in large chunks, and it was extremely heavy on dad jokes, but it had SO much good information! I've believed some of these myths since I was little, and now I'm going to be that jerk at parties telling people to stop tapping on their cans.

Read it as part of ‘get through your TBR’ randomly selected read type challenge. Was a pretty interesting (and a quick, easy) read—but ultimately not something that will stick with me too long tbh.

It's fun and funny, a great source for clever cocktail party comebacks, but it's not really a book to sit down and read. More like a reference book to pick up and put down as you find yourself asking, "I wonder if Ken Jennings has anything to say about that?" I still think feathers are a little bit gross, despite Jennings' information to the contrary, but am glad to know that it's illegal to collect them. I'll remember that one for the future.

This was an enjoyable read. All the pearls of wisdom, handled with a light touch that kept me (ruefully) laughing at myself. How many of these things were we told that we didn't really ever question?

Funny, fast-paced and educational - my only qualm with this book is wondering how much has changed since it was published 10+ years ago! I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it a lot.

It was a quick and amusing read. I wish he had gone in a little more detail though. It was hard to tell how much research he did on each "myth", so don't know how reliable his conclusions were. But overall it was a fun read.

Fun. Most of the Myths/Tales/whatever weren't groundbreaking, and while I'm sure Mr. Jennings did some research, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to dat stuff and then go swimming right away just on his say-so.
Still, I have fond memories of him from Jeopardy! so could "read" in his voice, which was fun. I thought he was funny, though.

I love Ken Jennings and I love old wives tales and I love this book. Also: audio read by the author and it is so delightful.
