This is a fun little side story that takes place somewhere in the middle of Shadowfever. I enjoyed this different look into this world and the Fear Dorcha was an interesting character. The graphic style was interesting, though for my taste the characters were a bit over the top (too busty, too muscled...), but I enjoyed the grittier quality for this torn up version of Dublin.

This was a nice little treat! I had been so anxious to return to the wondrous Fever world, and reading this graphic novel was a perfect trip, just in time for the oncoming Iced. The art is amazing, really beautiful design, beyond all expectations. I mean, yeah, sure, Barrons was as I imagined he would be, the epitome of male perfection, but the true star of this novella is clearly Mac. She was drawn perfectly, just as gorgeous and vibrant as I imagined her in the books, and, as she is one of my all-time favourite heroines, seeing her come alive in full colour was beyond awesome.

The story was, to be honest, a little bizarre, or at least to me. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but it felt slightly taken out of context. It is meant to be an independent story taking place within Shadowfever, but, somehow, it doesn't fully match my very fresh memories of the atmosphere and pacing in Shadowfever. I don't know, maybe it's just me. This doesn't take anything away from its beauty, elegance and quality, but I just wanted to state this for the record. Does anyone feel remotely the same?

Anyway, I recommend this to all fans of the series, and to people who enjoy greatly drawn graphic novels. I also loved the written parts in which the author details certain aspects regarding her characters and her decision to start the "Fever" series. A nice addition to the expanding Fever world, one I will definitely re-read if only to gawk at the stunning graphic representation of my beloved Mac and Barrons.

I prefer the non-graphic novel version of the books in this series. Just a personal preference.

I don't like how all men become comic book lunkheads and all women (except Rowena) become bimbo-y looking women. It takes a little of whatever makes them seem to be relatable away. I would say their humanity but most aren't human.

Very interesting to see Barron's beast form though

Great art work and story telling. Found the development of the sries to be intriguing. I like the demon hunting. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes supernatural graphic novels.

Honestly, I enjoyed the story but this isnt what I thought the characters looked like at all. I think they made Mac WAY too sexual. I get that she is supposed to be pretty, and turns Barrons on, but a porn star? I dont think so. Anyway, I liked it, and will probably buy more if they continue with it, I just wasnt happy with the way the characters were visualized.

While the art is beautiful, the characters look nothing like I had envisioned. Barrons looks like Danny Zuko (from Grease) joined the Mafia. And whhhhhy the fugly 1980s bowling shirt for Ryodan?! I hope these mental images don't follow me into the rest of the series

A nice little side story to the Fever series that actually adds to the lore.
Not much character to development to be had here, but the story is more about Mac dealing with the Unseelie and kicking butt alongside Barrons.
The book is fun to read and beautiful to look at, but not indispensable to the overall Fever world.
