I thought The Night Shift was good, not great. When I read a thriller/mystery, I want to be hooked right away but for some reason I never got the "cant put this down" feeling.

Another complaint is that based on the description of the book, I was expecting this to take place in mostly the 90's/early 2000's but the vast majority of it took place in present day.

I also felt like there was one too many characters and plot lines to keep up with.

On a positive note, the overall plot was intriguing and there were definitely some twists I didn't see coming!

It was pretty easy to guess who the killer was, but the book was still enjoyable. Also, some parts of the story felt rushed and/or didn't feel relevant.

Enjoyable to read. Just don't think too hard about why the culprit stages mass murders and leaves one victim alive with a creepy farewell message.
