I was engaged from the start and could have read this book in a day of I didn’t have other obligations. I bought into the premise and the mystery. I liked the characters (the good guys of course). I was surprised by the twists. I would read more by this author.
I was disappointed by the epilogue. The book ends with a lot of action and several characters injured. The epilogue shows us where some of the characters one year later. But there’s no story of how they overcame injuries and trauma and got to that point. I don’t like overlong epilogue but this one was too short.
In retrospect it’s easy to question some aspects of the story: why certain characters did what they did, are the characters actions consistent with their story etc. But I enjoyed reading the book and it was 4 stars for me so I’m not going to dwell on any other issues.

Not bad at all.
The twists were good even if one manages to figure it out well beforehand.
My only big complaint is one of the female narrators tended to do her William Shatner impersonation and paused at odd times.

I enjoyed this! Had a really busy few days at work lately so needed an audiobook to crank out emails, and this hit the spot. The book did a great job with its characters and the layered plots. I barely put it together before the reveal (was it because I was half listening? Who knows). But I’d read more by this author!
