Holy moly what a book. When I began this ARC I still hadn't read the first book in this series, but I did read the second one, so I knew the characters, I knew the world and the way it was build. I must say it got even better with this book. I had high expectations of the author for this book, to be honest I didn't suspect these characters to be the third book, I thought our puppy Mav would get his book first, but boy oh boy do I understand why it was necessairy to have this one in between. I already knew and loved Rhett in the second book, him being best friends with Adam made that easy, Sierra we didn't know yet, but to see them getting their own story was so perfect, it was way more emotional than I thought it would be, it felt very real and I really feel like part of their group. We get so much in this story, so much that I can't and won't spoil but it made some things so hard for the main characters but the strength they showed was just, I can't even describe it.
I loved this book with every fiber of my being and I will definitely go back for Heath and Ginny now that I have time to do so.
Recommend this to everyone!
4.5/5 stars.

Good
This one was a bit slower than the others. It took me a bit longer to get into it. I'm super excited for the next one.

The only thing i liked was when he connected his watch to her heart monitor to keep an eye on her health condition. Besides that it was meh.
Rebecca Jenshak writes some of the most amazing NA sports romances I've read and I think she is a deeply underrated author that not enough people know about. (This is a hint to all of you who haven't read anything by her yet - pick up one book, and I mean anyone, and you will have a blast.)
Broken hearts is the third book in the series, but can still be read as a standalone which I did this time because I couldn't tone down the excitement over the hockey player/figure skater trope (!!!!) to catch up with the other books first. I think I will appreciate the cameos of the former couples more when I finally get to read (and re-read) them in the right order. Back to the fact that the trope I have been craving forever is finally in my hands and I loved it. I would have liked it to create more tension into the romance, but in the end I realized it was perfect as it was. I mean, in my crazy fantasy I thought that trope would mean, I don't know, fights about ice time and hatred of each other sports for taking practice time? Which don't really make much sense now when I think about it, but oh well it's never to crazy to dream I guess.
The characters are so likable and that's one thing that never changes with Jenshak's books. I loved Rhett and Sienna together! Rhett is so loyal, caring and sweet you just want to hug him. Sienna was a great heroine and I really want to have her as my friend.
One thing I love about Jenshak's books is that they all aren't just revolving around one sport, but several. For example, her Smart Jocks focuses on basketball, Campus Nights on hockey and she even has one standalone about golf!! Sweet spot is the only book that has made me say that I actually, genuinely liked reading about the sport, which in itself is a miracle. There is a lot of sports out there and I appreciate that she doesn't just stick to one. Even though my favourite sports to read about are hockey (like this series is) or football, I do crave different settings and new things to learn about from time to time.
If you are looking for a fun and sweet college sports romance with great characters, look no further!
A warning though, towards the end the story takes a sharp turn and gets quite heavy so be aware of that before you dive into the story.

A big thank you to Valentine PR for providing me this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wow! This book started as a very cute college hockey romance. The meet cute was perfect!
But then the MMC gets some devasting news and it takes a turn. We aren't big fans of a third act breakup, but this plot twist made it worth it.

Absolutely adored this book! Rhett and Sienna are some of my favorite Jenshak characters! Rhett was so kind and thoughtful. He cared deeply about everyone in his life, almost to a fault. Sienna was sweet and driven. Despite her health issues, she was still strong and completely capable. This couple shared a passion for the ice and were able to bond and understand each other on a level that not many could.
Broken Hearts was an emotional read, with so many ups and downs. My heart ached for Rhett on more than one occasion in this book. He was put through the ringer! I thoroughly enjoyed the struggle that this couple had to wade their way through in order to get their HEA. It proved how much they deserved each other.
Some of my favorite scenes involved the friends of both main characters. Rhett had the most incredible support system in his teammates and Sienna found a wonderful group of strong women in the teammates' other halves and her long distance BFF.

I was glad to finally have a book with Rhett as a main character because I thought he seemed interesting in the previous books. I liked Sienna from the get-go and absolutely adored her relationship with Elias.
Sienna and Rhett were cute together and overcame a few obstacles together. Overall, I just didn't feel it. I didn't feel the connection or any hear between them. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this book, but it felt lackluster at times.
