  • 4/5 I love Natalie Haynes’s writing, her literary analysis and reanimation of these chosen Greek goddesses was so well done and her sources?! Both her secondary and primary lists blow me away, she is mf smart and always keeps ancient history interesting with her personal narrative flare! I could read this women’s grocery list and still find her writing engaging ‼️🫵🏻

Easy to follow along and very informative. I like Natalie Haynes’ writing style and I learnt a lot reading this.

4.75⭐️ Natalie Haynes writes banger after banger after banger. Another superb non-fiction book in the same vein as Pandora’s Jar, I don’t understand how this author manages to write about Ancient Greece in the most addicting way ever. I particularly enjoyed the chapters on Hera, Hestia, and Athene and highly recommend the audiobook, which Haynes herself expertly narrates.

As someone who has loved Greek Mythology her entire life - this was amazing. I learned a lot and it was also a very entertaining and engaging read. :)
