Didn't seen half the twists (probably any of them) coming and had my heart broke and was patched back together again (and again).

Highly recommend.

I think I’m the only person here that didn’t like the book 😭😭😭 maybe it’s just not for me but it felt weird, too rushed. I don’t mind a fast paced book but this was like BAM boobs BAM their tongues are already interlocked and they’re making out sloppy style (and they’re supposed to hate each other???)

This book was so good! It was spicy. Boy was it spicy! But it was also really emotional. This was my first book by Katelyn Taylor and I devoured it! I can't wait to start the Gallows Hill series to read Skyla's story. I've also never read a dark academia romance, but boy did I eat it up! Highly recommend!

I never believed that Bridgette could have a character development but here we are.

She was never the selfish person I always thought she was, quietly suffering her whole life and being used & abused by the very people who are supposed to protect you? no wonder she was such a bitch

but this was truly the best, I loved seeing every character again, her character arc and the backstory!!

Maggi is obviously still very iconic and nothing changed
also, this book was hot like damn

Thanks to Blue Nose for the ALC! I was so excited for Deliverance, especially after loving the Gallows Hill series — but this one landed a bit unevenly for me.

First off, Asher stays pissing me off. Some things never change. 😅

The premise had so much potential: secret societies, queer women navigating danger in a rigid, blood-soaked world, and the haunting legacy of past sins. The first half of the book had me hooked — the pacing, the tension, and the energy were exactly what I was hoping for. And the smut? Absolutely delivered. No complaints there.

But around the halfway mark, it started to feel like the story lost its footing. It got messy in a way that didn’t quite work for me, and while it’s technically listed as a standalone, it leans hard into Gallows Hill series spoilers. If you haven’t read those books yet and planned to, this one will absolutely ruin a few reveals for you.

I also struggled to connect emotionally with the two FMCs. I wanted to, and there were glimpses of depth there, but something about the execution kept them feeling a bit distant.

On the upside, the narrators were phenomenal. They brought so much life to the characters and atmosphere, even when the plot wavered. I probably enjoyed the experience more because of how well the audiobook was performed.

Deliverance by Katelyn Taylor is a dark forbidden romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Heather Firth and CJ Bloom.

This is the second book of Katelyn's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I loved the chemistry between Maggie and Bridgette. Their relationship was extremely messy, but I couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the story. It really brought the story to life.

I will definitely be checking out the Gallows Hill series so I can get Skyla and her boy's story.

Heather and CJ did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for an FF Romance, Forbidden Romance, or secret society romance.

I ran through this book in one day. Are you really surprised? Forbidden AND sapphic? Sign me tf up. There were a lot of things I liked about this book. My critiques are based almost solely on personal preference, so take them with a grain of salt.

Let's start with the good! Obviously, it was hot. Hello?? There was no doubt in my mind that it would be. I am alsoo a sucker for redemption story and Katelyn did a great job of showing readers the other side of Bridgette. I've loved Maggie since the beginning and this book solidified that for me.

I fell in love with the two of them together and how they were able to be their true selves when it was just the two of them. The damn trauma that these two went through was heartbreaking and they definitely deserved their HEA.

With all that said, I'm really not a fan of interconnected books that are happening in tandem with the previous books' plot. It makes it difficult for me to stay engaged when I already know what's happened. This made the middle section of the book difficult for me to enjoy and I found myself skimming quite a bit.

That leads directly into my next point. The pacing was a bit off for my liking. I absolutely loved the beginning, the middle dragged, and the ending felt rushed. It's by no means a deal breaker, but I wanted to spend more time on the actual plot for Maggie and Bridgette.

Overall, I definitely enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sapphic, forbidden, and spicy read with a healthy dose of emotional baggage.

Thank you to Katelyn & her PA for the e-ARC! 🖤

Alright so Listen, I was skeptical… mostly because of the step-sister part. But my GOD, I’m obsessed. Hot. Sexy. Steamy. Spicy. Sad. Upsetting. Disturbing. Confusing. Surprising. This book hit ALL my emotional. This is my first book by Katelyn Taylor and right after finishing this I started Deceit with no hesitation. I cannot say enough good things about this book. I was captivated and addicted incredibly fast. I couldn’t stop reading. I craved to know what was going to happen. The characters are all unique. The relationships built are all so diverse and chaotic. & Let me be honest… The Ritual by Shantel Tessier is one of my favorite books.. and Deliverance is the closest I have gotten to having the same adrenaline rush, thrill, and addiction for a book like I had during The Ritual. Finding a good Sapphic Dark Romance is difficult. Finding a phenomenal Sapphic Dark Romance that gives me the same adrenaline rush and thrill as my favorite book? RAW NEXT QUESTION.

The authors writing was amazing, I felt like I was apart of the story. The character development, amazing. I have never felt such raw anger towards a fictional character before though. 😂

Also, READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS. I always skip them, because yolo. HOWEVER, MY GAST WAS FLABBERED. 😂 So even if you don’t normally read trigger warnings, please read them just in case!!
