This book felt like it took the storyline in a different direction than what book 6 was setting up. I’m guessing because of all the complaints regarding Dani being 14 and a man 10 years older lusting after her. The writing was still good, plot was good and i really enjoyed it. I’m still really enjoying this series. I liked all the different POvs.

a little disappointed!! more of Dani would have been nice. sounds more like bridging rather then story. cud have completed a story rather then letting too many loose ends...

Far better than ICED when it comes to the sexual tones regarding Dani. But, I am getting a little eye-rolly over Mac and her sexual thoughts and needs towards Barrons. Yes, I know you can feel him before you see him. Yes, I get you want to have sex with him. Does it have to be mentioned during every single scene 10 times? No. Hence the loss of a star. I loved this book otherwise.

The last two Fever books were a tad disappointing, but Burned seems to be the one that gets the series back on track. While an actual plot other than how each of these characters are dealing with personal issues, has yet to surface, I thoroughly enjoyed Burned. A lot seemed to happen and I once again found myself simply enjoying reading. Mac goes through a lot that has me very entertained and chuckling to myself. Multi POV helped expand the story as a whole, opening up a slew of possibilities for the future.

I am convinced that Moning doesn't know how to end a story in any way other than a cliffhanger. It's probably a psychological thing.

Epic tale. Epic characters.

And to top it off, Mac was fucking awesome.

I like how Moning resolved the issues about Dani from the previous novel but I'm so sad. As if Dani didn't already have trauma in her life, and needs more. I used to get so annoyed of Dani and now she is my favourite character.

And then that ending?

Whyyyyy????

Qouiiiiiii?????

close to 4 but not quite 4.5 stars

Well, this was interesting. I love this series, there's an after and before in me once I read them... They're just too good, the main characters are too complex, too brilliant, too great to not be a good book.
Oh and the song lyrics at every chapter? Awesome!
The thing is, at first it was really hard to get into the book, the several interlocutors on the beginning of the book made it hard for me to concentrate, probably because I didn't remember much about the past books, I should've read the entire series again, but I didn't want to, I just wanted to read this and be with Mac again, I thought about giving up for a few days and re take the book later, however there was something nagging at me the entire time not reading it and I had to take it again. I'm so fucking glad I did!

***SPOILERS AHEAD***

The Dani twist? OMFG
I totally see it coming at some point, where she came back grown up, but totally did not see the double personality thing, it totally rocked my world and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I'm also curious about Mac's future and how finally her story unfolds, she really needs some peace with the big, hot and great Barrons
And the ending?... Seriously Karen? I need to know what happened, why the Keltar is in Chester's, I have a feeling it has to do with the Unseelie princes or the Nine...
Why not 5 stars? well, the beginning was really tough for me, and I can't forgive that to one of my favourite books.
