This was the first book that the then 3 year old Little Bug "read to herself." Of course, she didn't really read it she just had it memorized. And she read it using the same silly voices I use when reading it to her, that was 100% heart warming and one of my favorite memories.

This is an excellent book to read once the reader is familiar with the earlier books in the series. They love picking up on the various references. I love the reveal of the sly duckling at the end.

It will shock absolutely no one to learn that the Weston Woods recording of The Duckling Gets a Cookie!?, narrated by Mo Willems (as the Pigeon) and his daughter Trixie Willems (as the Duckling), is superb.

The interplay between Mo and Trixie, the tongue-in-cheek dramatic background music, and the way the narrators reproduce the actions and sound effects on the page all combine to make a first rate read-along.

Not my favorite of Mo's work, but still enjoyable. I love Pigeon's facial expressions when he goes off on his rants.

This is literally the cutest book ever. <3

En humoristisk bok som med enkla medel och lite text berättar en historia om att vara snäll och dela med sig. Har läst flera av dessa böcker för barn och de har gillat dom mycket.

The Duckling Gets a Cookie!? by Mo Willems is the newest Pigeon book. The Duckling, first introduced in The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog, is back, and he has a cookie with chips and nuts.

Of course there's no way the Pigeon (who turned nine this year) wants the Duckling to either star in a book or have a delicious cookie. As you can imagine, the Pigeon does everything possible to steal the show and the cookie.

It's a cute book that works well both as a read alone book for level one readers and as a group read. When reading it aloud, be prepared to over act and have fun.

I am both the pigeon and the duckling in this story (but mostly the pigeon).

My personal favorite Mo Willems book!
