*sigh* I felt like this series had so much potential. I still stand by what I said about the first one I enjoyed reading it. But then in this one there were so many unnecessary characters?! It was like Ursula was an afterthought.

If you took out all the original characters and scenes the author wrote, you’d have a better story. Almost like you didn’t need to tinker with the original story in the first place! This book didn’t even accomplish what it supposedly set out to do, which was provide a sympathetic back story for Ursula. It did in probably two paragraphs, and then decided to instead focus on bland, unnecessary original characters for the rest of the book. I swear, the sisters’ “spells” and “magic” in this book is just narrating what’s happening in cringy rhymes, acting like they’re the ones responsible for other people’s actions. For example, they see Eric climb aboard a ship to ram into Ursula. They then make a rhyme of him ramming the ship into Ursula, as though he wouldn’t do that otherwise. And the book acknowledges that Ursula betraying the sisters made no sense.

THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS!!! 6.07 CAWPILE

I have now learned to have mediocre expectations when it comes to this series. But I still enjoy them. There is an intense nostalgia that comes with reading these books so they will always receive an element of love and appreciation from me. I want more from this series tho!

I do not like the side plot of the witches and how they all interconnect with all the villains...stopppp with that! If I pick up a book centered around "The Little Mermaid" I want to only read about characters from that storyline.

I wanted and hoped this series would be more of a biography of the villains from birth to when we see them in the Disney Classics. That is not the route S.V. takes and its honestly a pity.

The hardcover editions of these books are GORGEOUS and I want to collect them all for purely the aesthetic aspect of the series!

UGHH I HATE IT -300 stars
it's so bad, i feel like i wasted my time. the writing is horrendous, the characters terrible and the plot non-existent??? idk like what was this?? tf you mean tale of the sea witch? this was 80% about the shallow and boring OCs doing random shit and the rest was a terrible and nonsensical and really just insulting retelling of the little mermaid. please save me from this why did i even finish reading??? it's so stupid i hate it. what is this terrible fanfiction? once upon a time did a better job, even descendants did a better job. even the 2007 game disney princess: enchanted journey did a better job. i feel personally offended and i don't even like the little mermaid that much but i don't expect this to get better for the next books and i will force myself to read at least until never never because that's the one that made me start reading this shit to begin with 😖😭

I'm not sure why this book has such low reviews. This book is number three in a series thay depicts how the odd sisters have had a hand in the lives of many different Disney villians. I loved learning more about Ursula and her backstory. Yes it does take some time to get there, but it's worth it! The book is only 200 pages long, so it's a fast read anyways.

It's clear now: the original witch characters that seemed more like the B story in Fairest of All are officially the main focus of the series, and the individual villains we already know are pawns or victims.

This book was amazing, I loved seeing it from Ursula’s point of view. Also when I watched the little mermaid I didn’t like Triton and reading this I dislike him more. I mean Ursula did terrible things but I can understand why. Also I read this one first and not the first two and I heard you need to read them in order, not really if you don’t mind reading what in the other books before reading them. Anyway five stars love it.
