I'm officially a huge fan of Miss Marple.
medium-paced

Took me a bit longer to read, but I enjoyed the book. Not as many twists as I was expecting, but still a great read!

I’ve been enjoying the show Death in Paradise lately and as soon as I read this book’s plot it was giving me those kind of vibes, not to mention I have loved most Christie books I’ve read so far.

This was my first Miss Marple read and I was not disappointed. So far, I would even say I prefer her to Poirot. With so many characters with intertwined stories, this book really gets you questioning who did it and why.

The plot is classic Agatha Christie, with red herrings and twists leading to an unexpected and satisfying conclusion. The setting of a Caribbean island adds a unique twist to the story and provides a beautiful backdrop for the action.

I have now ordered more Miss Marple books and can’t wait to get stuck in!

Another neat little mystery story. Perhaps with fewer highs and lows than some of the others, but still filled with red herrings and mysteries. It's set in the West Indies, and I found I missed some of the Miss Marple regulars a little. Still a great read and I flattened it in a day.

Very fun Miss Marple mystery. It is always the little details that matter in Agatha Christie mysteries.... There's also a great scene where Miss Marple is found out as a very keen mind - as opposed to her twittery, sweet-old-lady-who-knits persona - by the other very elderly resort guest, Mr. Rafiel (who is particularly gruff), and the two commiserate on how no one takes you seriously when you get old especially when one is trying to catch a murderer.

This audio production with Emilia Fox narrating is really good - great pacing and accent work (bonus points for Austen fans: Emilia was Georgiana Darcy in the 1995 Pride and Prejudice miniseries)
