Non mi è piaciuto per niente, ma solo perché non sono il target di riferimento. Probabilmente da ragazzina mi sarebbe piaciuto.

I only read this book originally because I heard of the TV show that was coming out.

I saw that one of my favorite actors was going to be in it and knew I had to read it.

I struggled at first to get into the story, it was kinda confusing.

Once I figured out what the dialogue was, and pieced it together I was in love!

It reads like an interview and the details are all in chronological order as the interviewer is asking everyone the same questions to link up the timeline.

I loved how you feel like you're getting a private look into how music touring is. I know some of it is fictionalized but the amount of detail and research makes me wonder how much is actually true. I know a lot of artists struggle with the things in the book. It made me feel really sad for taking musicians for granted. They sacrifice so much for the fans. I really hope you love this book as much as I did. But also look at it deeper and realize how much of a cost being famous is.

3.5⭐️ Possibly unpopular opinion but I kind of hate the way this book was written. The using of only interview transcripts is unique and interesting but I felt it hindered me from really connecting with the characters and story. I listened to the audiobook and can’t imagine reading it traditionally.

The tale of the meteoric rise and crash of a fictional band & singer in the format of non-fictional interviews. All the characters are rounded and flawed and the pages practically race by! (It reminded me very much, in some ways, of Laura Barnett's Greatest Hits, another book chronicling the life of a fictional singer that I really enjoyed.)

Nothing life-altering, but it kept my interest and was entertaining.

It was a very boring book with very flat characters. There was no redeeming quality of this book IMO.

The format was neat, but quickly got old and stretched the content more than was needed.
