They kept fighting then having sex and then fighting! There was no real resolution between the two and it got old fast
Just couldn't get into it. Really liked the first book, but this one was kind of annoying and couldn't hold my interest.
Series went way downhill. Characters had more background but somehow became one-dimensional and events took place that felt as if they were directly out of a soap opera - unbelievable and back to back.
Welp. I knew the first one was too good to be true.
After the first books ending, I was worried how the plot would work out and was right to. This was a big mess tbh. I dont think the author has a clear path to the ending and it shows. It also felt like we strayed far from what was so fun about the first book and tried to emphasize it as this feminist story that it’s just, not.

Ugh, I really wanted to love this book, but the angst and tension and unknowns that made book 1 interesting are just not there anymore. Not only does Isolde now have two sets of memories and both are her past, making her thoughts confusing, I actually don't like the split POV. Being in Adrian's head removes a lot of the mystery. I also hate battle strategy, and there are far too many characters to keep straight. It's not holding my interest, and I'm not connecting with any of the characters. Just not the book for me.
I had to DNF this one. The first book was very spicy but at least had a decent plot. I was 50% of the way through, and all that seems to happen is Adrian and Isolde fighting and then getting it on. Despite the numerous scenes, the chemistry just wasn’t there. I started to feel that Adrian was becoming a Tamlin-like character. He was secretive, possessive, and all that kept them together was being physical with each other. I would recommend reading the first book and just stopping there.
