1.5 This book made me very disappointed.
If you asked me what happened in this book, I'm not quite sure I could answer. I am a person who enjoys spicy reads, I enjoy all kinds of spicy reads, but there have to be some breaks in between, immortal dick or not, my god, nearly every chapter was a spicy scene and it got to the point where I was skipping them. Also, it felt like I was listening to the same spice scene over and over again, it got boring. This makes me sad to say because I enjoy St. Clair's books, but I was so happy when I finally finished this, so I didn't have to bare another spicy scene with these characters, who really need to talk to one another more.
As far as plot. I'm just kind of meh, like I'm excited for some heartbreak that's bound to happen, but it felt so repetitive. Now the reveal at the end was a surprise but, I don't know if I cared. I feel like the stakes aren't high enough let alone really explain well enough for all of the betrayals. This book really just disappointed me, and for the first time, I don't know if I care to read the next one. When it comes out I might pick it up way later on, but I'm not going to be running to a bookstore the day it drops. I'm sad this book just makes me sad, and not in a good way.

This will sound stupid for what is supposed to be a vampire romance, but the sex scenes absolutely overwhelm the story. Only so many times someone can read about the crown of a c*** or a swollen clitoris.
fast-paced
I wanted to like this book since the world building from Book 1 is fun, but it felt so rushed in the second half. Many of the character choices felt plot driven. So many moments needed room the breathe and just weren’t given the opportunity.
I was bored throughout this book. Not much happens in this one as it just explains all the characters backgrounds and Isolde tries to remember her past life. Ravena is mentioned for five seconds in the beginning and you hear nothing of her till the end. We also don’t really see the consequences of Isolde killing her own father since it’s never brought up again till the end. The smut was good which is why I give it three stars instead of two.

I’m loving this series. I am left with so many questions with this book though. It felt all over the place with the back story for many characters. I’m worried about where this is going with the main characters. So much happened yet so much needs to still happen and there is no release date of the next book yet?! Ugh…
