I absolutely abhor Isolde. She’s the worst FMC I’ve ever read, mainly because she acts like an insolent toddler when she doesn’t get her way (and she doesn’t get her way every chapter because she’s making stupid demands). Buckle in if you are starting it. I only finished because my reading bestie talked me into it

this book was so chaotic and for what, it saddens me because i was so excited for this

I really don’t think it’s even 2 stars but I have a feeling that I’ll read the next one so I can’t in good conscience rate it a 1.
Not terrible but not good. Easy, fast read. The MCs are insufferable and there was no plot until the last like 30%.
Most of the book consisted of the MCs picking fights for no reason, saying stuff to intentionally make the other one mad, then having sex and declaring their love for each other—without ever actually communicating their issues or having a full conversation. Over and over again. And they’re constantly douche bags just for fun bc they think every single person is below them or something. And they’re not even nice to each other. It seems like the author was just trying to keep the enemies to lovers going after the first book but there was no chemistry in this one. Also I get wanting to have a strong FMC but she was just mean to random people for no reason.
I did like the last like 100 pages where there was actually a bit of a storyline, but that should’ve been sprinkled throughout the book and not rushed into the end so much just to create a cliffhanger. I also liked the side characters. They’re each more complex than both of the MCs put together for some reason, so they’re what made the the first half of the book bearable.

I just…could not…
