Nach dem ersten Teil, war ich echt in Stimmung des 2. Band zu lesen. Allerdings hat sich der 2. Band mehr wie ein Lückenfüller angefühlt.
Die Haupthandlung fand ich immer noch interessant, aber so viel passiert nebenbei. Egal wo du hinschaust, es sind überall nur Feinde und niemand ist wirklich loyal. Ich fand es einfach zu viel.
Auch die Isolde und Adrian haben sich nur im Kreis gedreht. Es wird viel verschwiegen und man weiß nicht wirklich wohin sich die Beziehung entwickelt. Im ersten Teil habe ich mehr Chemie zwischen den beiden gespürt.
Isolde empfinde ich weiterhin als einen guten Hauptcharakter, auch wenn ich mir mehr Wachstum versprochen hatte.
Ich erwarte viel für den 3. Band.

Okay so this started out a little slow, with that regular second book syndrome feel, but then it absolutely SLAYS. Still moderately predictable, but indulgently satisfying. The major badass female energy is giving LIFE. I’m kind of obsessed and will be twiddling my thumbs for the next book. Scarlett YAAAASSSS QUEEEEEENNNN
DNF at about 60%, such a pointless, aimless book. I was surprised that I enjoyed the first book since I hated her Hades/Persphone series but this book cemented that I don't really vibe with this author. Alll of her female characters are too stupid and/or stupidly stubborn to live and are consequently in need of being saved at every turn. The couple in this book fought about EVERYTHING the whole 60% I read and never came to any resolutions because they would end up fucking before anything could be discussed like rational adults

I personally enjoyed this sequel, but man I have seen some really negative reviews. Was there drama and bickering? Sure, like any marriage. Was there a lot of fighting followed by immediate sex scenes? Yes, but who doesn’t like make up sex (first book was also full of this). I’m confused with everyone saying there’s no plot in these books. There’s war over political power, shapeshifters, curses, Gods, and so much betrayal!

Such a waste of potential. I will be reading the third installment, but I’m not happy about it
I feel like this book was a lot of filler. The ending was good and makes me want to read the next one but I feel like it could have been better.
