This was a pleasant surprise! I've not heard much about this book and read it because it was selected for a group read. It involves a mythology surrounding three small statues, the Fates, and the search to find all of them and reunite them. It begins in Ireland with the Sullivan family and reaches across the globe, culminating in New York.

I loved everything about the story, from the characters (didn't love all of them at first), to the mythology itself, the romances and the mystery/suspense. It initially feels like a trilogy in one but once you get started, you soon realize that the stories are so interwoven it would be a mistake to try to separate them. I especially liked the sting in the end as it was particularly inventive and played to everyone's strength. It was also a change of pace to have a woman be the villain of the story. Finally, the dialogue cadence for the Irish characters seemed perfect, adding even more authenticity.

This is now in my top five favorites of her single titles, even though it wasn't particularly suspenseful. But, the underlying tension created by Anita made up for that absence.

I loved it! I picked this one up on a whim and I definitely did not expect to like it as much as I did! It was so full of suspense and excitement. The way everyone’s stories were woven together in a century old “tapestry” was perfect. I loved the Sullivan siblings and their other halves. The three fates got them all scrambling across half the world looking for them in a fun, romantic, and thrilling chase that oddly reminded me of that Audrey Hepburn movie “Charade,” Jack Burdett could definitely be played by a young Cary Grant.

This was my first Nora Roberts book. It came highly recommended from a friend of mine that is a huge fan of this author so I tried it out. I enjoyed it. I don't really know what else to compare it to but I definitely felt like I got swept up in the characters. It was a little exciting too wondering if they would ever get all the treasure they wanted.

I loved this book not only because it was fantastic with it's hot Irish men, but also because it felt complete. It's a rather long book for Roberts and it just felt so complete to me, no detail was left out. Cleo was my fav charater but thats obvious, she was so gutsy and straight forward. I don't know how to talk about books with out giving info about the book that others might not want, so I'm going to stop talking and just tell you to read it.

April 2017: DNF. Right out of the gate, we get a character who I think is meant to be sympathetic objectifying a woman and fantasizing about sexually harassing her. It was a clear reminder of my problem with this book; there's not one character that I like here! Most of the MC's are actually repulsive to me, and the secondary cast is either bland and uninteresting, irritating, or treated like shit by everyone until I want to throw the book against a wall.
