Was much better than the 2nd Avalon Bay book. Could be my favorite in the trilogy this far
This book is the ultimate summer vibe—fun, flirty, and full of heart! Cassie and Tate completely steal the show with their sweet, swoony connection. I was hooked from their first awkward-yet-charming encounter to the slow burn that turned into full-on fireworks.
Cassie is so relatable as a college girl trying to figure herself out while reconnecting with family. She’s awkward in the cutest way, babbling around Tate because, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t when faced with Avalon Bay’s golden boy? And Tate? Sigh. He’s a lovable flirt with a heart of gold, trying to be the nice guy who won’t break her heart but failing miserably at resisting her.
The friends-to-lovers trope is done so well here. Their banter is adorable, the tension is real, and the spicy moments? Let’s just say Elle Kennedy knows how to turn up the heat (that window scene—whew).
The family drama added depth, though I wanted to shake some sense into Cassie’s mom a few times. Still, Cassie’s growth and the way she stands up for herself in the end were so satisfying to read.
Tate and Cassie’s story is light on angst, high on chemistry, and wrapped up in the perfect beach town setting. If you’re in the mood for a summer rom-com with heart, this one’s for you. Avalon Bay just keeps getting better!

I loved the prior two books in the Avalon Bay series, and I loved every minute of this one, too! Cassie's situation with her mother is way too familiar. (Nothing like growing up the daughter of a narcissist.)

This was my first book by Elle Kennedy and my first Avalon Bay novel (but not my last... I went right out and bought the others). A great, fun summer romance!
I fell in love with the town and the characters. The 3rd act break-up/conflict was pretty over-the-top but the spicy scenes and personal growth aspects were great! I need to go back and re-read this one now that I've read the other two.

Not a bad love story. Smut was okay, better when the male narrator was saying it
