The Summer Girl

The final installment follows Tate and Cassie. This book was my favorite in the series. The connection between Tate and Cassie was instant. And so was the chemistry. I was hooked from the very beginning. The storyline was compelling and I did not see the twist coming at the end. I loved having all the characters from the other books intertwined into each storyline.

Another Elle Kennedy masterpiece under wraps. I loved everything about this series. I loved each story line and fell in love with all of the characters. Elle Kennedy is one of my favorite authors. All of her books are written so well and makes reading them so seamless.

This is the 3rd book in the Avalon Bay series. I did not read the first two books, might have missed the connections with the other characters a bit but honestly didn't feel like I had to read them in order!

Cassie Soul is headed back to Avalon Bay for the summer and is staying with her grandmother. Her parents divorced years ago and she feels like her dad replaced her with a new family and she can't stand her judgmental mom. Cassie decides this is the summer she wants to have a fling, before heading back to college. On her first night in town Cassie meets Tate Bartlett and they decide to be friends instead of a fling. But can they just be friends?

This book has a lot of spice, family drama, and quite a surprise ending. This is THE PERFECT summer read!

Yes, yes yes I absolutely recommend this series. Each book got better. Book 2 was super hot and spicy, which I loved but. This one was my favorite. Of the series.

My heart truly hurt for Cassandra or Cassie and the way her mother treated her heck the way her father treated her too. I mean all the adults in her family besides, her grandma sucked. I was very proud of her for removing the negativity that is her mother out of her life. I understand why she kept the relationship with her father. I kind of wish, though we would’ve actually gotten the dialogue because although her father was hurt about not being able to be in Cassie‘s life. He could’ve made the effort or more of an effort to get to know her and be honest with her. There was no reason with her being an adult to hide what he knew and just avoid his ex-wife.

I cried at the fact that Tate’s mom asked him to break up with Cassie, even though he loved her I thought that was extremely selfish of her, but in the end, everything works out, right.

I fell in love with Tate after hearing her mom, body shame, Cassie, and him doing everything that he could to try to make her see that she’s beautiful and not to let the negative overcome her. You don’t have to be a stick with six pack abs to be beautiful.

Yeah, this one definitely is my favorite each book got better and better but they were all great for me. I listened to this on Everand and I enjoyed both of the narrators one of them being Teddy Hamilton. I don’t know who the female narrator was but she was amazing.

Rich White people summer romance with rich white people drama. Guilty pleasure

It was fine, definitely young ya, fun but nothing to write home about

Tate just might be my favorite person in the whole series lol. This was a good time, Tate and Cassie were cute I really liked their banter. Overall, the Avalon Bay series was pretty good, I wouldn’t mind reading more from this author

I received this digital ARC from NetGalley for free for an honest review.

Sometimes Elle Kennedy is good for a quick, satisfying, steamy read. This book didn’t quite do it for me. It just seemed a bit juvenile, and although the characters are young, they also just read as a bit silly and superficial. There is a beach town, so if you’re looking for a summer beach vibe, this might work for you. Just know that the main love interest is constantly talking about the girl’s “rack.” I wanted to like this book more than I ended up liking it.
