I loved this feel good love story! Cassie and Tate were believable and likeable characters. I liked how there was chaos around them, but they both continued to be good humans. I enjoyed how the other two love stories from the first two books were also involved in this book. This was my favourite love story of the series though!
This was definitely my favourite book from the Avalon Bay series! Tate and Cass were the most wholesome people and I really enjoyed the humour throughout. The twist towards the end was very unexpected, and then I was reluctant to finish because I didn't want to say goodbye to their story...
I liked Tate and I liked Cassie. The plot point of Cassie’s mom is stupid and then Tate’s mom being the reason they break up in third act is dumb too. But I did gasp at the plot twist
Sadly this is probably one of the books I’ve liked least from Elle Kennedy. Rare but true. Though I still found this book to be more enjoyable than many other romances I read. I think it was just hard to get into. I wasn’t that interested in the storyline/situation in the first place. I mean clearly there was a time limit since they started out as a fling and everything. I just made me anxious for the inevitable “break up.”
I also had a hard time connecting with Cassie, but she did grow a lot towards the end. Tate was perfect. Too perfect? Nah perfectly perfect. Loved him not faults. 10/10.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. After Bad Girl Reputation, I had no intention to continue this series. But because I was able to get my hands on an ARC (thank you St. Martin's Press) I decided I'd give it a shot. I'm SO happy I did.
This was right up there with The Deal for me. Garrett and now Tate are two of my favorite boys.
I was laughing out loud, truly enjoyed the spice (their first scene in particular, something I'd never read before), let out an audible gasp at one point, an "oh fuck", and cried twice, both sad and happy tears. I wasn't expecting ANY of that from an Avalon Bay book.
Highly recommend for those who gobbled up The Deal, and I can't stress enough, if you weren't too excited about Good Girl Complex or Bad Girl Reputation, PLEASE read this anyway. You'll be glad you did.

This is book 3 in the Avalon Bay Series.
This is my favorite of the series!
This follows Cassie & Tate. Cassie used to live there until her parents got divorced and her mom took her out of that town and her father didnt fight for her.
Tate lives there year around working with his dad at the boat dealership and doing odd jobs.
Cassie is back for the last summer since her grandmother is selling her house and already sold the family hotel.
Cassie decides this is the summer for a fling. but what they all got was a lot more. To a bombshell secret to maybe love?
Thank you NetGalley & St Martin's Press for the ARC and audio copy. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review

3.75 ⭐️ probably
Pleasantly surprised by this one, probably the best in the series. Something I liked about this is that while several of the main supporting characters were toxic, the main characters weren’t, and they had good communication throughout and the conflict didn’t even really involve them which is honestly kind of nice.
As a chronic double triple quadruple texter myself I cannot get behind the multiple text hate.

Thai was def the best of the trio. This was fun, entertaining, and everything i want from an elle kennedy book.
The Summer Girl by Elle Kennedy was such a fun read. It’s the perfect kind of book to pick up while you’re lounging by the pool on a hot summer day.
I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by Elle Kennedy and I must admit that this is actually the first book I’ve read from the Avalon Bay series… whoops! This is actually book #3 in the series, but it can totally be read as a standalone.
Cassie and Tate’s story begins when Cassie arrives at Avalon Bay and decides she wants a summer fling. Tate is the perfect candidate as he is known for never being in a serious relationship. When Cassie proposes this to Tate, he agrees, but Tate soon realizes that Cassie is not fling material she is serious material and so he decides to friend-zone her.
I absolutely LOVED Cassie and Tate’s story. It was nice to see their relationship grow from acquaintances to friends to falling in love with each other. Their chemistry was great and they had so many adorable moments that made me all giddy and warm and fuzzy while reading.
I recommend you pick this one up. There’s flirtation, friendship, romance, steaminess, and a sprinkle of drama towards the end that’ll make you want to continue reading to find out how their story unfolds.
*A huge thanks to Elle Kennedy, NetGalley, and St Martin’s Press for providing me with an eARC for review. All thoughts are my own.*
