This book for me really felt like a nostalgic 80's horror vibe initially, I did not expect the ferocity in which it would also touch on our own minds ability to preserve our sanity (relatively speaking) after experiencing the worst pain life has to offer, while never being able to fully grasp the love and care that family and friends have for you and how they take care to give you peace in ways you will never know. I was fully expecting a great book but the level of emotional intensity that hits you in the last chapter of this book was immense. Very highly reccomend. Easily one of the best books I've read this year.

This book is reminiscent of "Stand by Me" and I do find myself lingering over the story. It is not a long book, but I found myself hooked on the first paragraph and getting caught up in their meetings.
