This is a good enough read, but I would have been annoyed if I had paid for it. (I got a copy from the library.) I knew that it was little, and I knew that it was 163 pages. I didn't know that at least 1/3 of the pages just had little drawings on them. No joke, I read this in about 20 minutes.

Quick, good read. Definitely take an hour to read this one.

Such a quick read, but truly one of the most important ones in the stack of all the health and nutrition books I've devoured. Eat food. Most Plants. Not too much. Mr. Pollan is a hero of mine - I may be slightly crushing on how simply he has answered the question, "What should I eat?"

And, frankly, I'm also proud to be aligned with a nutritional method to help people get back into a simple practice of eating for their health and enjoyment, while abandoning the damaging western diet.

I haven't yet read any of Pollan's other books, so this was my first foray into his basic approach of "eat food, not too much, mostly vegetables." If that seems simple to you, much of what's inside this volume will not be a revelation. I worry that the target audience -- the people who NEED to read this book -- are not likely to pick it up, and that the people who will pick it up are already generally following most of the advice. Maybe that's just how I felt. I did get excited whenever there was some science backing something up, so I'm going to give one of his meatier (hah) tomes a spin.

Liked the way it was written. There's only a couple paragraphs in each chapter, each chapter quickly explaining a "rule"

Quick, fun read, mostly common sense...

Extremely short book. A lot of tidbits under one small cover. For me, it was just reinforcing what I already know and practice myself. But 5 stars recommended to anyone looking to get inspiration to make better food choices.

Eh, nothing new here, but it never hurts to read a reminder.
