I finished this book just so I could rate it one star because oh boy, it was truly awful. The writing was so atrocious I've been taking screenshots and sending it to my friends bc I couldn't believe what I was reading. The plot was so nonsensical I had moments when I spaced out for several chapters and when I realized I've only been skimming the pages, I couldn't even be bothered to go back and read them again.

I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

Oh baby, that was not a good time.

The narrative style was pretty spartan with no lift to it and i had a hard time connecting to everything going on. These guys were enhanced assassins going on special ops missions and killing bad guys in action movie ways, but the energy was so blasé and not exciting at all. There's some spice but i didn't catch any feelings.

For whatever reason I stuck with it to the end, hoping the story would get better because the premise sounded fire! But, unfortunately, this series was just not meant for me.

A.E Via never misses! This was such a good read! Grace and Mirage are my new faves and I loved seeing EX and Meridian, my loves, in this book. I’m excited to see where the series goes and now I need to go read Blue Moon to learn about Lion and Omega. I highly recommend this book!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outstanding story and excellent characters. A great beginning to a new series and I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

This was an intriguing read. I really enjoyed the concept and the characters. I did feel like there was a bit too much time for their feelings to come to fruition. But, I kind of understand the reasoning at the same time given the circumstances when they were recruited. I would have liked to see a bit more depth on the science/conditioning aspect of the book. I am really looking forward to the continuation of this series!

This story was fantastic! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention the entire time. I loved getting to see Grace and Mirage as they go through the program and the changes that happen and why they were recruited to the Ravens program in the first place. They both have a very strong sense of what is right and just and want to help and protect people, willing to do the hard things for that to happen. This one definitely has some twists as we watch these two build their connection and partnership. I loved getting that build up and seeing it happen a little bit over time before we hit the big issues happening in this book. Mirage adjusted his dosage so he didn't quite lose all his emotions and have them shut off completely but things did get muted. After doing a favor for the Blacks, Grace sees that they have a romantic connection and it reawakens that part of Grace but only for Mirage, though he doesn't quite know what to do with it at first. I loved seeing them come together and explore that and figure it all out and then they get a curve ball thrown at them when the organization they work for gets called into question. Both Mirage and Grace have a strong moral code that they follow and they want justice and to take out the bad guys. Now they are investigating the Ravens organization and working with the Blacks. This one was really engaging and enjoyable! It definitely held my attention the entire time and set up the series really well too. It has plenty of twists and turns and little things I didn't quite see coming. It will be interesting to see how things connect and come together in the next book. It was well written and flowed well. There's plenty of action and intrigue throughout. I loved getting to see some of Ex and Meridian and can't wait for the Green Ravens to come next and see what is going on.

Not sold on the way this is written but it wasn't bad? The concept is intriguing, would like more fleshed out characters
